What will my child work on during pediatric occupational therapy?Occupational therapy can enhance a child's fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration and processing, coordination and balance, self-care and self-regulation of behavior, feeding therapy, independence, social and emotional engagement, emotional well-being, self-esteem and self-confidence.

What ages do you serve?Able Me treats children from birth to age 18.

What are your hours of operation?Able Me is typically open Monday through Friday from 8 until 6; however, these business hours vary based on availability of appointments. You can email layna@ablemeOT.com or contact for more details on available appointments!

How do I schedule an evaluation?Navigate to the Contact Us page and submit an inquiry! You can also email layna@ablemeOT.com. Your child will need a prescription for OT from their doctor, this can be faxed to (205) 208-0191.

Do you accept insurance?Yes! Able Me currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, VIVAHealth, UnitedHealthcare, AL Medicaid, Cigna, OptumHealth and TRICARE. We also accept private pay.

How can I pay my copay or private pay rate?Once your child has an evaluation, you will be set up with a patient portal where your credit card will be stored on a secure platform. You can pay through check, cash or online portal.
